September School
Every September, IHL hosts the so-called September School with the purpose to strengthen existing and build new international partnerships for IHL, and to enable IHL students to learn firsthand about topics from an intercultural perspective. In this regard, IHL has hosted numerous international speakers:
- 2016: Dr. Lazarus Phiri, Evangelical University in Ndola, Zambia, about „Contemporary Issues in World Mission“
- 2017: Prof. Dr. Oliver Williams, University of Minnesota in St. Paul, Minnesota, about „Domestic Violence, religion and the role of the church“
- 2018: Prof. Dr. Ferdinand J. Potgieter, North-West University in Potchefstroom, South Africa, about „Education and Reconciliation“
- 2019: Dr. Tricia Van Dyk, LCC International University in Klaipeda, Lithuania, about „Peacemaking and Justice“
- 2021: Prof. Dr. Bill Anderson, Concordia University of Edmonton, Edmonton, Canada, about „Postmodern influence on religion through pop culture“
- 2022: Dr. Lizabeth Matthews, Liebenzell Mission USA in Long Valley, USA, about „Encouraging Spiritual Maturity in Adolescents and Young Adults“
- 2022: Dr. Christopher Matthews, Liebenzell Mission USA in Long Valley, USA, about „Theology of Missions in Restricted Access Locations“
- 2023: Dr. David Armitage, Tyndale House, Cambridge, & Dr. Tim Murray, Amblecote Community Church (UK), about „Poverty, Prosperity and Human Flourishing – Biblical Perspectives and Contemporary Challenges“
All September School classes are taught in English.
