Partner university CBU honored IHL staff Lucas Wehner
Riverside. During Homecoming weekend, IHL partner university California Baptist University (CBU) honored its alumnus and IHL manager of the international & mobility office, Lucas Wehner, with the Alumni Service Award in its 75th year of existence.
Lucas graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Political Science in 2011 and with a Master of Business Administration in 2012 from CBU. He was honored for his various commitments at IHL, as municipal administrator of Bad Liebenzell from 2019-2024, and for his military service.
In his address, Lucas mentioned that he has been proud and grateful to be part of a worldwide CBU family, the Lancers, who make an impact for God’s kingdom and in their respective communities. “Having lived my purpose, has meant to me that I would be Biblically rooted, academically prepared, equipped to serve, and globally minded.”, Lucas said.
Since 2022, IHL and CBU have been partner universities. Since then, six IHL students have spent one semester at CBU. In addition, one CBU faculty has taught a summer school class at IHL. Nowadays, CBU is one of the top Christian universities, offering more than 100 undergraduate programs, 41 graduate programs and eleven doctoral programs through ten schools and colleges. It was rated as #2 most innovative schools in the USA, and #2 best college campus in California. It is a Great Commission university which is committed to missions.
