Course objectives: Skill set Students are able to • interpret the argument of the Letter to the Hebrews in their biblical and historical context. • recognize intertextual connections and the salvation-historical framework of the Letter to the Hebrews as hermeneutical keys to its interpretation and proclamation. • explain the significance of the person and work of Jesus Christ for the Christian faith based on the unique argument of the Letter to the Hebrews. • reflect on Hebrews as an important contribution to the question of the Jewish-Christian dialogue.
